The Team

George Gill | Photographer

George is the founder of Blue Door Photography, and is one of the lead photographers. Originally from Washington D.C., he moved to Savannah because he fell in love with the charm of the south after a visit one weekend in 2004. He approaches each wedding with the same enthusiasm and care he did with his first wedding at the age of 14. His style can best be described as extroverted, energetic, and discerning. George has 2 dogs, 2 cats, loves to travel, has his pilot’s license, and used to perform magic professionally.

Tony Brown | Photographer

Tony is a lead photographer here at Blue Door Photography. He lives in Washington D.C., but travels the country photographing weddings. He went to college in New York, right outside of Manhattan, majoring in political science. He started working with a photographer immediately out of school, and very quickly fell in love with the art of photography. Now in his 10th year of wedding photography, he is constantly pushing the envelope to keep up with the ever-changing world of wedding photography. However, due to his training in classic portrait photography, his photographs still maintain a beautiful classic aspect. Tony is fascinated by old movies, and enjoys following the New England Patriots.

Piers Lamb | Album Designer

Piers is the designer for Blue Door’s digital albums. He majored in graphic design in college, and has been working with Photoshop since the very first version. Because Piers has training as a photographer, and has a published book of photos of the Uzbekistan embassy (random . . . yes), he understands what is possible photographically and can talk easily with Blue Door’s photographers. Piers has an uncanny ability to connect with his clients, and is known for his extremely extroverted personality and his commitment to customer satisfaction. He works hand-in-hand with each of his couples to insure that their album matches their vision. Piers’ interests include antiquing with his wife, leather working, and taking photographs for fun around town.
